A Golden Advice

If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, “I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.

English Foundation Course for International Students

If you’re first language is not English and you wish to study at a UK University, our advice will be enrol in a English foundation course, in order to give yourself a better chance passing your IELTS from first time. This course gives you an excellent chance to experience foreign University for the first time. It also gives you the advantage in knowing exactly where you want to be and do.

Even if you consider you English to be good, the English foundation course will help you improve your research and academic skills that are essential in order to succeed in higher education in the UK.

The aim behind this course is to give International students the advantage in obtaining a good understanding of what they are expected to perform academically while taking a higher education course in this country.

From experience I see many International students struggle in getting the required levels in IELTS to enable them enrol or get a university offer letter. We always advice International students to be realistic about their English abilities and not jump over the fence too soon as this will result in great disappointments.

Taking your studies one step at a time is always advisable and wise. Yes, it does cost a lot of money and you might think it is a waste time but repeating your IELTS test five or six times also makes a big hole in your pocket and will cost you as much or maybe more than a foundation course will. Not to forget that enrolling in a university foundation course allows you to work 20 hours per week to earn extra pocket money.

English foundation courses are set up to support International students who are looking to start a degree level or continue their MA in the United Kingdom, and the courses will be split to support student’s language and academic skills!

So think wisely when you come to the UK. Invest in your time and don’t get impatient there are important skills to be learnt before starting to study at a foreign University.
